About Us

The Chatton Development Forum emerged from a meeting held on April 3rd 2008 in Chatton to discuss the way forward following a catastrophic drop in pupil numbers at the school.

The body supports Tillside Parish Council as it seeks to retain use of the school building for the local community. It is hoped that this will minimise the negative effects on the village and area and also have the effect of retaining the resource should the number of young people reach a size where a school becomes viable again.

At the time of writing the core members of development forum consist of:
  • Mr Bob Scott: Tillside Parish Councillor.
  • Alistair Cochrane:
  • Mandy Nesbit:
  • Jane Ord:
  • Colin Lee:
  • Richard:
  • Isabell:
  • Sally Douglas:
  • Alistair Macdonald-Smith:

We are grateful for the support given to us by, amongst others, representatives of Tillside Parish Council, The Glendale Gateway Trust, Community Action Northumberland and all those who have attended meetings and shown an interest in moving this project forward.

Please do get involved!
